Видео входит в курсы: обучение компас

This video is the result of a collaboration between Compass, a centre for self-directed learning in Ottawa (www.compassteens.org), and the Réseau des écoles démocratiques au Québec, a network whose goal is to support the democratic school movement in Quebec (www.redaq.ca). The purpose of the video is twofold. On one hand, it aims to broaden awareness of Compass and how self-directed learning works in practice. On the other, it promotes the creation of democratic schools in the province of Quebec.

Filmed at Compass by Tamara Taddeo, the video starts by introducing the notion of self-directed learning. The two co-founders of Compass, Abby Karos and André Morson, discuss why they chose this model and how it can help teenagers from various backgrounds. The video also takes the viewer through some of the different classes and activities offered at Compass while some teenagers offer testimonies of how this learning setting has impacted their lives. The French version of the video will be available soon.
